About us
Paul Cartwright
I was initially introduced to yoga in 1993 after studying martial arts for many years and became immediately absorbed by it. Originally studying Iyengar for several years before discovering the dynamism of Ashtanga Vinyasa. I've also incorporated the Kashmir Tradition, Sivananda Yoga and Atma Vikasa (Venkatesh, Mysore) into the mix along the way. This has given me a wonderful background of understanding to draw from in my teaching.
Through my interest in martial arts I began studying Shiatsu (Japanese massage), which lead naturally to the study of Traditional Thai Massage which beautifully compliments the yoga (it is sometimes referred to as Thai Yoga Massage). I've always found that the only way to really understand a subject is to go to the source, and so have found myself returning time and again to study in India and Thailand. This has helped to deepen my understanding of these subjects that I feel passionately about. I am a registered teacher of yoga in England and India.

After a long and stressful career as a recruitment consultant I finally saw the light and started to study and practice Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Reflexology full time in 2003. Like Paul I am a firm believer in studying first hand with teachers who have grown up immersed in their subject and to this end I travel regularly to Thailand to deepen my understanding. Having studied yoga with Paul and other teachers from Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar and classical Hatha traditions. I now teach the yoga introduction classes.
We are both qualified and recognised teachers and practitioners of Traditional Thai Massage with the Thai Government Ministries of Education and Health.
